African American Theatre to honor legacy of Martin Luther King Jr.

The African American Theatre Program (AATP) and the Office of Business Affairs will celebrate Martin Luther King Jr.’s legacy Jan. 21, with a free, public program. Among other things, it will include a dramatic performance, music and special recognition for the Lincoln Foundation and its president emeritus, Samuel Robinson.

Rhodessa Jones, co-artistic director of San Francisco’s Cultural Odyssey performance program, will deliver the keynote address. She will talk about the Medea Project, a program she founded to help incarcerated women.

The program begins at 1 p.m. in The Playhouse, Cardinal Boulevard, between Second and Third streets.

Parking is free in lots adjacent to the School of Music and College of Business.
