Cards Come Together service days Oct. 22-25

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Cards Come Together, the University of Louisville’s new fall service event, is Oct. 22-25.

The event kicks off at 11:30 a.m. Oct. 22 with “Wear Red to Be Fed,” a cookout and pep rally at the Red Barn. UofL President Neeli Bendapudi will be on hand to visit with participants and thank them for their involvement.

Cards Come Together will feature the following off-campus service opportunities:

  • Community cleanup in Old Louisville
  • Community composting
  • New Directions beautification project
  • Volunteering at the Americana Community Center Fall Festival.

In addition, there are on-campus donation drives to collect much-needed items for Jefferson County Public Schools, Dare to Care Food Bank, Volunteers of America Shelby Men’s Recovery Program and Catholic Charities of Louisville.

UofL faculty, staff, students and alumni are encouraged to participate. Participants must register online for service sites.

Caitlin Brooks is a communications and marketing coordinator in the Office of Communications and Marketing. Brooks joined OCM after earning her Bachelor of Science and Master of Art degrees in Communication from UofL.
