Conference to raise awareness about human trafficking in Kentucky

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The University of Louisville Women’s Center and Women4Women Student Board are raising awareness of human trafficking in Kentucky while helping victims recover by bringing in speakers, service providers and researchers for an informational conference.
The sixth annual Human Trafficking Awareness Conference will be 5:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. Feb. 2 in the Student Activities Center’s multipurpose room; breakout sessions will be in different rooms in the building. Doors open at 5 p.m. At that time, registrants can attend a resource fair and eat a buffet dinner.
Conference Speakers will include:
- Angela Renfro, The Kristy Love Foundation
- Jeanette Westbrook, human rights activist
- Yvonne Moore, chair of Southern Indiana Human Trafficking Task Force
- Diana Anderson, Human Trafficking Alliance of Kentuckiana
