Fashion, culture to hit runway Jan. 29
January 27, 2016Fashion and dance will be on the runway at this year’s International Fashion Show Friday, Jan. 29.
The 14th annual International Fashion Show, sponsored by the Student Activities Board, will be held in the Student Activities Center multipurpose room. The theme for this year’s event is “Clash of the Fashion Empires.” The show will feature over 150 models wearing attire representing cultures from around the world. Attire is loaned from UofL students, and businesses including Dillard’s and local boutiques. The show will also feature a variety of performances including the Louisville Lion Dancers. The event begins at 7 p.m. with food by Ramsi’s Café on the World. The performance begins at 8 p.m. UofL student tickets are $5 with a university ID. Faculty, staff and community tickets are $8. Tickets are available for purchase in the SAC MPR 11 a.m.-2 p.m. and the Student Involvement office from 9 a.m. -5 p.m. Sponsors for the event include Student Government Association, Commonwealth Credit Union, American Campus Communities and Williams Dope Denum.
