Grad students advance to major business competition

Systemica Health, a team of graduate student entrepreneurs from the College of Business, will compete in the 2014 Global Venture Labs Investment Competition May 1 ‒ 3 in Austin, Texas. October 25, 2013

The team won first place and $1,500 at the Rady School of Management Student Venture Open in San Diego Oct. 22 ‒ 23.

Team members Justin Breitenstein, Shalin Shah and Hunter Gerlach are developing PlaqAway, a tooth varnish that fights gum disease.

TheraBracelet, another UofL student team developing a wristband that improves movement in people with strokes and other disorders, won second place and $500 at the event.
