Holiday World, The Louisville Bats offer UofL days
The UofL Alumni Association and the Great Places to Work initiative are teaming up to offer two new events to UofL faculty, staff, alumni and their families this summer. May 1, 2012Holiday World will hold its first “UofL Day” Saturday, June 30. The amusement park is offering a discount ticket of $39 to UofL patrons. It includes admission to both Holiday World and the waterpark Splashin’ Safari; an all-you-can-eat lunch buffet that includes Moonlite BBQ pulled pork, all-beef hotdogs, broasted chicken, several sides and desserts; free parking; free soft drinks; inner tube use; and sunscreen throughout the day.
The park is about an hours’ drive from Louisville. Among its dozens of rides are the world’s top-ranked wooden roller coaster, the world’s longest water coaster, and a waterpark ride voted world’s best.
On Friday, July 27, The Louisville Bats will host “UofL Night at the Bats.” Tickets will be discounted to $6 per person and will include seating in the UofL section, free carousel rides for kids, T-shirt tosses and other giveaways. Against the Grain, the brew pub and restaurant at the stadium, is offering a 10 percent discount with a UofL ticket.
