ISLP performs service projects in Philippines
Trading in part of their winter break, a group of 27 University of Louisville students, faculty and staff traveled to the Philippines in mid-December to perform service projects as part of the university's International Service Learning Program. January 13, 2010They documented the trip, which some described as a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, through video, photos and a blog that includes insights from participants about how the program affected them.
During the trip, students and faculty representing communication, education, dentistry and justice administration disciplines set up in teams to perform an array of service projects - including educating groups on bullying and performing dental work.
