Kempf-Leonard, Duncan, Mardis, Christie-David named to key positions

The Board of Trustees on Thursday approved the appointment of Kimberly Kempf-Leonard as dean of the College of Arts and Sciences. Kempf-Leonard comes to UofL from Southern Illinois University, where she has served as dean of the College of Liberal Arts. She will assume the new post on Aug. 1. May 9, 2014

Also at the meeting, Provost Shirley Willihnganz informed the board that she has filled several vacant positions on an interim basis.  Susan Duncan will serve as interim dean of the Brandeis School of Law, Rohan Christie-David will serve as interim dean of the College of Business, and Michael Mardis, dean of students, will act as vice president for student affairs.
