Moon Taxi to play Live Lunch at the Red Barn

Nashville-based rock band Moon Taxi will play WFPK’s “Live Lunch” program at the Red Barn Oct. 26. October 23, 2012

The University of Louisville Student Activities Board and the Red Barn Alumni Association are sponsoring the show.

Doors open at 11:30 a.m. The live broadcast starts at noon.

Moon Taxi is touring nationally in support of its latest album “Cabaret.” Over the summer, the group played at several festivals including Bonnaroo and Forecastle. Paste Magazine named the band one of the “12 Tennessee Bands You Should Hear Now.”

UofL students and employees can attend free of charge, but they need valid UofL IDs for entry.

SAB will offer attendees a free grilled lunch of hamburgers, hot dogs, chips and drinks.

Since 2009, SAB has partnered with the radio station to host a few “Live Lunch” broadcasts at the Red Barn each year.

“Live Lunch” is a weekly concert at the WFPK studios on Fourth Street. The program features local acts or groups that are in town for performances later the evening of the broadcast.
