New fair housing interviews added to University Libraries collection
Eleven oral interviews on fair housing in Louisville are the latest addition to Digital Collections at University of Louisville Libraries. July 31, 2014The “Home for Us All: Fair Housing in Louisville-Jefferson County Oral History Collection” includes audio interviews and transcripts from developers, planners, housing advocates, social justice activists, educators and more. The collection discusses the history of housing in Louisville from 1960 through 2011 and how it has formed the city today.
The interviews are part of the University Archives and Records Center’s Oral History Center and were completed for a 2014 report out of the Anne Braden Institute for Social Justice Research. The report was commissioned and distributed by the Louisville Metro Human Relations Commission.

Erica Walsh is the marketing director for the Office of Communications and Marketing. Her job lets her share UofL’s good news in all avenues of communications including publications, advertising, content marketing and branding. Walsh joined UofL in 2014 after previously serving as the public relations specialist at Indiana University Southeast. Prior to her career in higher education communications she was an award-winning newspaper reporter. Red is one of her favorite colors and it’s a good thing, too, because she earned her bachelor’s degree in journalism from Western Kentucky University and her master’s in communication from UofL.
