UofL law professor comments on historic Supreme Court gay marriage ruling

Nationally recognized constitutional law expert and UofL law professor Sam Marcosson was highly sought after by the media Friday to comment on the same-sex marriage ruling by the U.S. Supreme Court. June 26, 2015

Marcosson appeared on three different Louisville television news programs and said that the ruling ranks in the upper echelon in the history of U.S. jurisprudence.

“This is a culmination and as far as LGBT rights, this is the most important case,” Marcosson said. “We use terms like ‘landmark’ and ‘historic’ when talking about the court’s business and this is right up there among the most famous cases. It will be studied, debated and discussed for a very long time.”
