UofL takes its research to the pub
September 7, 2016The University of Louisville is taking its research to the streets ... and to the pubs. UofL's popular Beer with a Scientist programs are giving crowds a helping of brain food to go with their frosty beverage.
Beer with a Scientist is the brainchild of UofL researcher Levi Beverly, who saw something similar in New York City and wondered if it could translate here.
"How can I get really cool research and information to the public and in a way that's informal, that's accepted? I just wanted to provide a venue where normal people could come in off the street and have questions and access to a real scientist," Beverly said.
