UofL celebrates graduates at Saturday’s commencement ceremonies
The world has changed in the few short years that the class of 2012 has been at the University of Louisville, but “you are ready to face this changing world,” President James Ramsey told some 2,000 students who participated in commencement ceremonies May 12 at the KFC Yum! Center.
Morning commencement speaker finds calling in oncology social work
Tara Schapmire will receive her PhD at the doctoral hooding ceremony Friday afternoon from the Kent School of Social Work. When she takes the stage Saturday morning to address fellow graduates, she will represent the School of Interdisciplinary and Graduate Studies as its Guy Stevenson Award winner for excellence in scholarship, leadership and other areas within her discipline.
