Job Fest to connect students with opportunities for jobs, grad school
Get your resumes and best business attire ready for the Career Development Center’s Job Fest. February 27, 2015The event will be 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Tuesday, March 3 in the Student Activities Center Multipurpose Room.
About 50 full-time job employers, internship opportunities and graduate schools from a wide variety of industries will be present to speak with job seekers and prospective students.
Employers in attendance include Teach for America, the United States Navy, Enterprise Holdings and WHAS 11.
“Our role on campus is to connect students to opportunities,” said Trey Lewis, director of the Career Development Center. “Some students have may not had the opportunity to interact in a professional environment and may not be as comfortable talking about themselves and their unique experiences and skill sets. This provides a great venue for students to put it into practice.”
UofL students and alumni are welcome to attend. Parking will be available in the Floyd Street Garage.
The Career Development Center is open to UofL students and alumni every day. Their services vary from mock interviews to career assessments.
