To Your Health: An eye on glaucoma
There are several types of glaucoma, according to Joern B. Soltau with UofL Physicians-Eye Specialists. The two main types are known as open-angle and angle-closure. Glaucoma is characterized by an increase in pressure inside the eye, which can cause damage to the optic nerve that ultimately can lead to blindness.
CHS says prepare against flu
Flu cases are on the rise around the nation. So far, UofL has only a slight increase in flu cases, but now, says Campus Health Services, is the time for students, faculty and staff to take steps to prepare themselves against the flu.
